Manisa Water and Sewerage Administration (MASKİ) General Directorate has signed a contract with the contractor company PROSES Mühendislik Arıtma Sisi.İnş.San.Tic.Ltd.Şti for the project that will ensure that the flood risk areas and the streams remaining within these areas for the additional zoning plan in the Manisa Center will be rehabilitated and reached up to the Gediz River. A meeting was held by the contractor company officials to present the work program to be made regarding the Preparation of Flood Risk Maps, the Determination of Stream Routes and Protection Zones within the scope of the Preparation of Flood Protection – Stream Reclamation Preliminary Projects and the Preparation of Drying Channel Displacement Cutting Salt Projects in the Additional Master Plan Area where the works have started. General Manager Aslay said, "With this study, possible flood codes will be determined in the additional master plan area in the Manisa Center and measures will be taken against possible floods by rehabilitating the streams and ensuring their healthy flow up to the Gediz River."
